Over the past few weeks we’ve been introducing Invisu Altus, our new service for turning CAD and equipment data into interactive 3D maintenance guides, parts catalogues and digital documentation.

The response so far has been encouraging. Many organisations recognise the same challenges we set out to solve: documentation that is difficult to follow, information spread across multiple formats, and maintenance teams spending valuable time trying to interpret drawings and manuals.

Altus was created to address those problems in a practical way. Instead of replacing the information organisations already have, it builds on existing CAD and equipment data and turns it into something easier to use day to day.

Why Altus makes a difference

Most organisations already hold the information they need. The difficulty is accessing it quickly and understanding it clearly.

Traditional manuals and drawings require interpretation. Interactive 3D allows people to see how equipment fits together immediately.

With Altus, teams can:

  • Identify parts visually rather than searching through drawings
  • Follow maintenance procedures more clearly
  • Understand equipment layouts and assemblies faster
  • Support training with intuitive visual information
  • Reduce mistakes caused by unclear documentation

For many teams, even small improvements in clarity can translate into meaningful savings in time and downtime.

Designed to be straightforward

One of the key principles behind Altus has been simplicity.

Getting started does not require new systems or complex implementation. We work from existing CAD data and documentation and convert it into structured, interactive content that can be accessed easily by maintenance and operations teams.

Organisations often assume that adopting new digital tools will be complicated. One of the most consistent pieces of feedback we’ve had is how straightforward the process actually is.

Where Altus works best

Altus is particularly valuable where equipment is complex, critical or maintained regularly.

Typical applications include:

  • Manufacturing and automation equipment
  • Process plant and industrial machinery
  • Complex assemblies and installations
  • Equipment with large parts catalogues
  • Operations with multiple maintenance teams

These are environments where clarity matters and where even small reductions in downtime make a difference.

Looking ahead

Altus is still new, and we are continuing to develop it in response to feedback from the organisations we work with.

What has been clear throughout this launch is that many companies are looking for practical ways to make better use of the engineering data they already hold.

Interactive 3D is one way of making that information more accessible and more useful for the people who rely on it every day.

If you would like to explore whether Altus could work for your organisation, we would be happy to talk.
